ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — As President-elect Donald Trump is filling up his next cabinet for his second administration, the Bullard Center is turning up the pressure on Secretary Pete Buttigieg under the current administration to fulfill his promise of fixing flooding in the Shiloh community before the transition.
“We can be hopeful, but it’s not likely this incoming administration will prioritize it, so this ball is in Secretary Pete’s lap,” Dr. Robert Bullard said. “He should take charge and get the money for the destruction reaped.”
Right now, they are in the process of sending an open letter to USDOT urging them to formalize a binding agreement that cannot be broken no matter the administration within these next two months to have money available if a resident wants to be bought out or wants to relocate as they should have the opportunity.s have gone unrepaired.
